Wherever you are in your faith walk, growing closer to God requires some action on your part. Consciously finding a time to pray. Studying your Bible. Attending church. Joining in the fellowship of a small group. These are a few of the tools the Lord uses to draw us closer to Him. Tres Dias is another one of the tools in God’s toolbox. It’s a commitment to take a short break from the busyness of your life to spend three days seeking God and listening to His voice in your heart.

Tres Dias is a gift you give yourself….your own personal appointment with your Lord and Savior. And for thousands who’ve attended a weekend before you, it’s made a life-changing difference in the quality and depth of their relationship with Jesus and the community around them.

Tres Dias is a Protestant Christian ministry patterned after Cursillo de Christianadad, a “short course in Christianity,” which has been active in church renewal since the 1940’s. Translated from its Spanish origins, Tres Dias means “Three Days.”

A Tres Dias Weekend is a 72 hour weekend that revitalizes Christian men and women in their walk with Christ by encouraging them to impact their home & work environments for Christ, maintain their own relationship with Christ through small group sharing, and return to their home churches with a renewed desire to be a servant leader.  It is our prayer that God use Tres Dias as a tool to bring you into a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Space City Tres Dias community (SCTD) was chartered in 2018 with the generous and loving assistance of Grace Gulf Coast Tres Dias (GGCTD.)  Each Spring and Fall, SCTD sponsors individual weekends for men and women.  For married couples, the husband goes on a weekend first.  

Each attendee, called a “Candidate”, has a Sponsor who prays for the Candidate and provides assistance to help make the Candidate’s three days on the weekend free from responsibilities elsewhere. Sponsors act as a resource for their Candidate after the Weekend.

The weekends are centered around talks given by Lay and Clergy Team Members which present Biblically based Christian truths and the implications of such truths to our daily lives. During the weekend, the candidates worship and study together. The atmosphere of a Tres Dias weekend is one of love, joy, patience, hope, Christian fellowship, sharing, singing, participation, laughing, and worship.
