My wife Susan and I attend, worship, and serve at Second Baptist 1463 Campus in Katy TX. I attended SETTD #15 where I sat at the table of Mark. I have been blessed to serve 26 weekends in 3 communities and been a CHA in most of the rolls (finally getting to be a Table Cha on SCTD #10) and have also served as the Rector Spouse CHA on SETTD #27 . We are the parents of 6 children and 4 grandchildren, of which, 5 of the 6 of the children have attended Tres Dias and /or Pescador weekends. We have been at Second Baptist since 2011 and I was honored to be selected and ordained a Deacon in 2018 with the church and now am on sabbatical for one year. I am active in men’s small group, couple’s bible study with Susan and assist with in-reach activities/VBS and Church Summer Camps alone and more often with my family.
I was born again in 2011, had a believer’s baptism that year and began a more intentional and spirit led life serving in Single Parent and Children ministries. I saw that same spirit in 2014 when I went through my Tres Dias weekend and that’s why I love this ministry and what it does for the body of believers. In Dec 2023 I was honored to be elected to fill a partial term as an SCTD At Large Board Member and renominated and elected to serve a full term in 2025. I am also a part of the Policy Committee and am excited about the work we are doing there to clarify and make the necessary changes for the benefit of our community.
I graduated from De La Salle Catholic High School before attending University of New Orleans (UNO) where I studied Pre-Med and Mechanical Engineering. I have served on the Board of American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) and various committee positions for the American Petroleum Institute (API) and “Anonymous Program of Recovery” over the years. I am currently employed by a Refining Company as a Principal Engineer and Subject Matter Expert for Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity/Asset Integrity and support all levels of corporate operations and site personnel. My hobbies are spending time with my large blended family, outdoors, cooking, working with my hands on projects and serving my church.
I would be honored to continue in the capacity of Member at Large and represent the community if re-elected for the upcoming year.
