Space City Tres Dias is guided by volunteers who serve our community through the Board of Directors and its committees. These leaders help provide direction, support our Weekends, and encourage the ongoing life and ministry of the community.

At Large Members are elected for one-year terms and are eligible to be re-elected twice. The number of At Large Members is based on the annual census reported to Tres Dias International and corresponds to the TDI current year tier classification.

Voting Committees
Leaders Committee
The Leaders Committee members are appointed by the President and approved by the Board of directors. They are responsible for advising the weekend leadership team and representing the Board in wekeend leadership decisions and for hosting Essentials Training classes. Members of the Leaders Committee serve as members of Rector Recommendation Committee. Committee Members must have previously served as Tres Dias rector chas. The committee is composed of at least one man and one woman, and the committee has one vote.

Pre-Weekend Committee
The Pre-Weekend Committee is responsible for processing candidate applications, distributing current candidate lists,and presiding as MC for Send-Off. The committee should be composed of one man and one woman, a married couple if possible, and the committee has one vote.

Weekend Committee
The Weekend Committee is responsible for managing the physical assets of the community, maintaining and managing the inventory of supplies in both the Houston and camp storage units, and liaising with the camp. The committee has one vote.

IT Committee
The IT Committee is responsible for the community Audio Visual assets and computers, and for training of the weekend Tech Chas. The committee is composed of at least two members and the committee has one vote.

Fourth Day Committee
The Fourth Day Committee is responsible for scheduling and coordinating Secuela, and for oversight of the community Reunion Groups. The committee is composed of at least one man and one woman, and the committee has one vote.

Palanca Committee
The Palanca Committee is responsible for sending General Palanca letters to the weekends of other Tres Dias and Cursillo-oriented communities, and for requesting & receiving general palanca letters from other Tres Dias and Cursillo-oriented communities. The committee has one vote.

Rector Recommendation Committee
The Rector Recommendation Committee "RRC" is responsible for recommending potential rectors to the Board of Directors. Members of this committee must have previously served as Tres Dias rectors. Members of the Leaders Committee are also members of the RRC. Terms are 2 years, and the committee does not have a vote.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is chaired by the Treasurer and exists to support the treasury function. The Finance Committee is responsible for all bookkeeping, financial reporting and tax filings. At least one member of the Finance Committee serves on the Scholarship Committee. The committee does not have a vote apart from the Treasurer.

Communication Committee
The Communications Committee is chaired by the Corresponding Secretary and is responsible for effective communication including website, social media, document storage, Planning Center, and community email announcements. The committee does not have a vote apart from the Corresponding Secretary.

Policy Committee
The Policy Committee is a non-voting committee charged with review and proposal of updates to the community By Laws and Policies & Procedures documents. The committee reports recommendations to the full Board of Directors for approval.

Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship Committee is responsible for receiving and reviewing scholarship requests, evaluating requests against the standards provided by the Board of Directors, and communicating award decisions to the requestors. The Treasurer and Pre Weekend Committee are members of this committee. The committee does not have a vote.

Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is responsible for developing a slate of candidates for each annual election, managing the election process and presenting instructions and results at the Annual Meeting. The committee is dissolved after each election, and re-formed each spring. Committee members are appointed by the President. The committee does not have a vote.
