My name is Orlando Munive aka Big O, my bride Gloria and I worship at Crosspoint Church in Pearland, TX. Gloria attended SCTD#3 where we met and fell in love two and a half years later. We have been happily married for six months now and have a blended family. Together we have three daughters, two sons, one son-in-law and three granddaughters and one grandson and are excited to be grandparents again with one grandchild on the way.
I attended Grace Gulf Coast Tres Dias #5 in Spring 2016 and have not stop serving ever since, except for SCTD#9 due to getting married. I have devotedly served in Tres Dias as Dorm, Dining, Table, Prayer, Kitchen, Mobile, and Inside Head CHA. My first and favorite position was Table CHA for GGCTD#6.
As a single parent for many years, I wanted to make sure that my children have a desire to know God. I sponsor all my adult children to Tres Dias and my son to SET Pescador, formerly SETVN (Tres Dias version for the youth). My son and I served together for many weekends and my heart gravitated towards the youth. I served about ten-eleven weekends and eventually became the Adult Rector for SETP#2. I served on the board as an At Large Member, Interim Recording Secretary and currently on the Fundraising Committee.
I am currently working at Calpine Corporation as Director of Facilities. I have been working in Facilities Management for the energy sector for about thirty-one years now and I am happy to have come this far in my career. There is always something different happening each day and fires to extinguish and never a dull moment.
My gift from God is of course my bride Gloria but He has also given me a heart to serve the community, my fellow brothers and sisters, the church and Tres Dias as my passion. I was once a long-time member of Grace Community Church and I loved to be at every big event they had going on, before to set up and after to take down. They can always count on me for help, and I never did get tired of it.
